Our Poshie & Snitch outdoor cushions are handmade by us locally, right here in New Zealand.

Here at Poshie & Snitch, we love sewing, fabrics, getting creative with designs, and mixing and matching different fabrics. So, it has been our dream to create mindfully made outdoor cushions for some time!

We really value items made with thought and care – ethically sourced, sustainable, fair trade, or handmade. After searching far and wide for outdoor cushions, we truly believe there is nothing out there like what we’ve created, handmade with thought and care in small production runs.

Why Handmade?

Our outdoor cushions are handmade inhouse and in collaboration with a local maker. We love supporting handmade and local because it not only provides direct income to makers, but it also helps to keep craft alive.

Handmaking our cushions allows us to put time, skills, and careful creativity into our work to create cushions that are durable, unique, and lasting. Each cushion becomes its own perfect piece of art, with a greater story behind its journey – from a concept in our minds all the way to the space it holds in your home.

Materials

Sustainable outdoor cushions are ones that are designed to last, so it is our priority to offer fade, stain, soil, and water-resistant options that can be washed, reused, and last for years to come. Our outdoor cushions are made in a range of durable fabrics with fresh and unique designs.

Sunbrella Fabric is one of the most popular, durable outdoor fabrics. It’s mildew resistant, fade resistant, and water resistant. We also offer a mold-proof inner insert with this fabric. We also use 100% acrylic fabrics as well . Both materials are perfect for the deck, porch, veranda, or patio, and are hardy materials as an option for indoor cushions too!

The inner that we have for our cushions is a specially made inner purely for outdoors . It has little drainage holes in it so if the cushion gets wet - it will dry and not get moldy or disintegrate .  We highly recommend that when you purchase your cushion you get the inner as well . That way the cushion will last a very long time !!!
